The twelfth issue of Tiro is out now with 11 new articles on professional reporting and transcription! The themes of this issue range from the use of AI in professional reporting and transcription in different countries to the impact of AI on the linguistic principles of parliamentary reporting, renewing the parliamentary reporting process, analysing university students’ perceptions of live subtitling created by different methods, and reporting para- and extraverbal features in writing. The issue also includes a conference report from the 16th International Conference on Live Subtitling and Speech-to-Text Interpreting and a response to an earlier article on the risks involved in studying linguistic variation in written transcripts.
We are grateful for all feedback about the new issue! Please share your thoughts on the comment section below, or via e-mail at tiro[at]intersteno.org.
