The second issue of Tiro is out now with 10 great articles from the field of professional reporting and transcription The themes of the issue include creating access with reporting, returning to work on site after covid, working with automatic speech recognition (ASR), implementing MPs’ corrections in the official report, providing control and support for parliamentary reporting, gender differences in typing speed, gestures in professional interpreting, and polysemy based on different language varieties in real-time captioning. We also have a conference report on the Hansard Association of Canada’s latest annual conference in Winnipeg.

We are excited about the issue and welcome all feedback about the articles! Please do not hesitate to share your thoughts on the comment section below, or via e-mail at tiro[at]intersteno.org. You are also free to share your ideas for news or future issues of the journal.
