The ninth issue of Tiro is out now with 11 brand new articles on professional reporting and transcription! The themes of the issue include the division between narration and transcription in an official report, an electronic reference work for linguistic practices, training staff to report select committees in a parliament, bilingualism in a parliamentary report, reporting sign language, utilising automatic speech recognition in the making of a substantially verbatim report, using respeaking in parliamentary reporting and the role of Artificial Intelligence in the development of live reporting and subtitling.
